HTL Donaustadt – Zero Emission Challenge Team
What started as the initiative of two students has evolved into a high-performance engineering project driven by passion, commitment, and real-world ambition.

Led by students from Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Technical Computer Science (Higher Department and Technical School), the HTL Donaustadt Zero Emission Challenge Team designs, builds, and continuously develops an electric race kart under real operating conditions.

The kart is a living system: battery management, power electronics, drivetrain design and control strategies are not only studied, but implemented, tested, and validated on track. Many of these developments are carried out as diploma theses, ensuring technical depth and professional standards.

In the next development stages, additional departments will expand the project towards autonomous driving, AI-based systems, and intelligent vehicle functions, further strengthening its interdisciplinary character.

This project turns e-mobility from theory into experience.
It represents hands-on engineering, responsibility, and the kind of learning that prepares students directly for industry and higher education.
